This is the first Chubby Stick item that I have ever bought, and overall I think that it is a rather good range.
I sat down at the make-up counter and tried out all of the Chubby Stick cream eye shadow pencils, and although none of the colours tickled my fancy, they certainly stayed on for the rest of the day. Sadly I didn’t take any picture evidence, but it took 3 or 4 hand washes before I was actually able to wash the shadow off of my hand, and this was still after a whole day of shopping. some marvelous product right there, Clinique.
As for the lip colours, this one stood out to me. My choice was between “Chunk Cherry” and “Whoppin’ Watermelon”. Since I have 3 pink lipsticks, 6 pink lip-glosses, and only one red lipstick, and 1 red lip-gloss, I thought that my choice was obvious. I picked the “Chunky Cherry” moisturizing lip colour balm.
The product doesn’t stay on very long, but no moisturizer does so that isn’t really a downfall for me. I like the colour on my lips and I like how subtle it is. (I am not a huge fan of bright red lips, although I do own a red lipstick). The product is great for the handbag and just going out for the day. I wouldn’t recommend it for clubbing or going out on the town at night. I generally want my lip colour to stay on when I am out for the night so I personally don’t like the chubby stick for that reason. I enjoy the chubby stick for university when I want a little bit of colour (I generally don’t wear anything but lip balm during the day) because I don’t want to look as if I am going to party on campus.
I think that for that quick and easy pop of colour, it’s perfect…
